Isopropyl alcohol / isopropanol /
IPA 99+%

Isopropyl alcohol, also called 2-propanol or isopropanol (IPA), is a non-cyclic secondary alcohol.

 

Isopropyl alcohol is homogeneously mixable with water in any ratio and forms a constant boiling mixture.

DuPont METHOCEL™ 311 –
for professional use only

Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) thickener with the highest substitution. Achieves a viscosity of 7500 cP at very low addition levels

 

METHOCEL™ 311 is a water soluble cellulose ether polymer powder. It is based on high-purity, non-ionic hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) with the highest possible substitution. METHOCEL™ 311 is highly soluble in organic solvents and has a high viscosity of 120,000 cps.

 

METHOCEL™ 311 is a grade specifically designed for mixed solvent systems where viscosity and adhesion are required. It can be used as a thickener, rheological modifier, binder, lubricant and film former. It is most commonly used in paint strippers and graffiti removers, but can also be used in industrial cleaners, adhesives, fuel gels, coatings, paints and many other applications.

 

Adhesives: METHOCEL™ 311 is a film former, thickener and binder for adhesives. It imparts wet tack, oil resistance, and the ability to set and dry quickly to various types of adhesives.

 

Cleaning Solutions: METHOCEL™ 311 provides enhanced thickening, viscosity control, soil lifting and emulsion stabilization for detergents and cleaning products.

 

Coatings and paints: METHOCEL™ 311 is used as a thickener, protective colloid and pigment suspension in coatings and printing inks. It offers excellent film properties such as high tensile and tear strength and elongation.

It also facilitates processing and improves water retention for structural coatings.

 

Paint Stripper: METHOCEL™ 311 is an ideal thickener for paint strippers due to its solubility in water and organic solvents. It offers more thickening and excellent adhesion for improved efficiency on vertical and inclined surfaces.

Glycerin - Glycamed 99.7%

Glycerin is a very versatile substance.

 

Among other things, it is contained in cosmetics as a moisturizer (because it binds water), can be used in manufacturing processes as an antifreeze, lubricant and plasticizer and is used in the manufacture of plastics, microchips, dyes and toothpaste.

Distilled Water – DEST WATER

Distilled water is largely free of salts (anions and cations), organic substances and microorganisms.

 

The freedom from ions is checked by measuring the electrical conductivity, the value of which should be between 0.5 and 5 µS/cm at 25 °C.

Because of the autoprotolysis, H3O+ and OH− ions are in it, but because of their very low concentration, they only conduct electricity to a very small extent.

 

However, small amounts of volatile compounds may still be present that have no effect on the conductivity.

 

When exposed to air, the pH value drops quickly from around 7 to around 4.5–5 as a result of the reaction with the carbon dioxide contained in the air.
